Infected insect bites

If an insect bite has become red, hot, swollen or painful, it may be infected. Our pharmacists can assess it and offer treatment if needed.

Most insect bites and stings are harmless and settle within a few days. Sometimes a bite becomes infected, particularly if it has been scratched. Our pharmacists can check the bite and advise on the best way to treat it.

Signs a bite may be infected
